Little Bean Coffee Company is a woman owned independent coffee shop with a location in Antioch, Illinois.

Little Bean Coffee Company is a coffee shop and cafe offering coffee, tea, ice cream, breakfast, lunch, and other treats. We strive to provide excellent customer service, incredible products and are dedicated to providing a safe space for the community.

The ideal barista is friendly, motivated, a self starter, and passionate about coffee and independent business. They are welcoming to all customers and committed to anticipating the needs of customers and coworkers (looks for ways to help others before being asked). They have excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and a curious mind.

Working at the coffee shop is a fast paced and physical job. Baristas spend the majority of their shift on their feet and actively engaged in tasks - there is rarely a shortage of things to do. It is a restaurant role and is best suited for folks who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, variable environment.

Applicants with previous food service, or retail experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as are all BIPOC and LGBTQ+ candidates. Qualifications

Previous barista experience is not necessary, however previous customer service experience is beneficial
16 years of age or older
Positive attitudes, strong work ethic, good teamwork skills, and exemplary customer service ability
ServSafe Food Handler Certification *can be completed after hiring

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Greeting customers and helping them order (operating register)
Answering phone, and monitoring online orders
Creating orders, including making food and beverages
Keeping store clean and presentable
Unpacking deliveries and keeping floor stocked
Helping with events as needed
Participating in Little Bean ecosystem by suggesting specials and other offerings
Being around for holidays and summer, extensive time off requests during these periods must be planned well in advance
